Lost a navy blue rain jacket at Delsom Turf on Tuesday Jan 10th. We left the field at 6:00 pm. Jacket has “TEAM BC” across the back, and “Lauren” written on the inside tag. Please call 604 588-9939 if you picked up the jacket.
Many thanks!

The U-13 Metro Sting squad took gold at the recent North Shore Thanksgiving Tournament. With the Sting being bumped up into the U-14 bracket they had an outstanding effort against their much larger opponents and to top things off they went four games without conceding a goal. Victories over Port Moody 1-0, North Shore 1-0, West Vancouver 3-0 and a hard fought championship win of 1-0 over Kamloops secured first place. An outstanding team effort as the girls played hard and used their skill and conditioning to carry the weekend. Well done ladies.
Coach's Kevan, Wayne, Paul and John.
The SurDel Sting U-13 Metro team took gold in the Labour Day tournament in Pitt Meadows. The Sting went undefeated in round robin action allowing only one goal in the tournament in a hard fought battle against a U-14 Metro team. Game MVP's, as selected by the opposing coaches, were Ravneet, Brit, Patty and Meghan. However all the players had an awesome weekend of soccer and congrats to the Sting on a fine start to the season.

On a recent trip to Swaziland, Africa, Brian Holden took some of SurDel's old used jerseys and balls with him to distribute to the local kids. Brian, who just recently retired from teaching, went to do some volunteering and touched base with SurDel to see if we could assist in some donations from our stock. As Brian told us when he got back "the recipients were totally overwhelmed with emotion and excitement at the same time as they have never had anyone or any organization give them uniforms, let alone soccer balls". Our club prides itself on trying to provide the best possible equipment for our players to learn with but when you see the pictures and emotion from these kids it kind of puts things in perspective. Brian and SurDel are also working on sending some equipment to Haiti in the near future as well and we are very proud to assist in these endeavors.
