Miranda played for the Surdel Girls Soccer Club from U7 to U18 and will always be remembered for her big smile that she always had on her face.  She played hard and enjoyed playing soccer.  Our condolences to Miranda's family.  Miranda will always be remembered by her team mates and coaches (Paul Costa, Ed Pigeau and Paul O'Neil) that coached her during her time with the soccer club.

All equipment is to be returned to the SurDel equipment room located on the second floor of the Elsom fieldhouse. If you as head coach can not make this time arrange the return with your assistant coach. Please read the below information carefully so this return will go smoothly. For those competitive teams that are still playing good luck in the rest of your season and a second return date will be added later in the season.

  • All equipment is to be returned i.e. jerseys, shorts, balls, nets, cones and your equipment deposit cheque will be returned.
  • All jerseys and shorts are to be laundered before they get returned. Socks are kept by the players.
  • Any soccer balls that are badly damaged or are not keeping air should be marked with an X so they can be taken out of rotation when returned.
  • For all mini teams the rubber bins should be cleaned and disinfected before putting the equipment in them.
  • Please do not wait until the end of the return time so as to avoid long line ups at the door.

Competitive coaches are reminded they MUST return their coaching and player cards at time of equipment returns.

A. Shin pads, shorts, cleats, and spring soccer t-shirt. The t-shirt is provided.

Q. Will the Spring Soccer girls be part of the parade?
A. Yes the spring soccer girls are always invited out to be part of the parade. The parade will take place on June 27, 2010.

]]> Hotshots at TSS Power Tournament http://www.surdelgirlssoccer.bc.ca/dru/node/468 2009-12-26T08:54:08-06:00 2009-12-26T08:56:31-06:00 atuline SurDel Hotshots 1 and SurDel Hotshots 2 went head to head to determine the winner but ended up in a 2-2 tie. Both teams were declared winners of the TSS Power Tournament U-18 tier two. Hotshots 2 finished with a record of 2 wins and 2 ties while Hotshots 1 finished with 1 win, 2 ties and 1 loss. Very proud of all of our players who competed very hard against the other teams in the tournament as well as our own.

]]> U18 Sting at the top of the Metro League http://www.surdelgirlssoccer.bc.ca/dru/node/465 2009-12-02T22:49:11-06:00 2009-12-02T22:49:11-06:00 atuline After last weeks' win over Golden Ears 3-0, and three straight shutouts by Sarah Johnson and Chelsea Jewel the U-18 Sting are top of the U-18 Metro league. Sting play this Saturday in Victoria without a number of players, so it should be a challenge as they defeated Victoria 2-0 the first time earlier this season.

They finish off the schedule prior to the Christmas break at home to Vancouver United. Game time is 2:00 at Delsom Park on December 13th. We would love to see all the young ladies come out to support us.
