Welcome to the February 2008 Byte Size Coaching Newsletter.

We have a short update on the new Byte Size Coaching program where we are being bugged, but we’ll de-louse it before long.

We feature Vancouver Whitecaps veteran, Steve Kindel, who spends a considerable amount of his working life as the Head Coach of the Dunbar Soccer Association.

And finally, the world is round and the soccer ball is round. The soccer ball helps the world go round. Read the report from Afghanistan where the soccer ball is helping bring some temporary relief to this troubled part of the world.

Soccer balls - 5,000 of them, paid for in Canada and shipped here recently from Pakistan - are kicking around everywhere, and putting smiles on faces too often plastered with grief.

Diversions are welcome, especially this week. Two suicide bombings in Kandahar province killed at least 135 people. One of the attacks occurred just outside the city, at a dog-fighting rally. And a car bombing in the city Tuesday left one civilian dead and injured three others.
