The SurDel Girls Soccer Club and Coerver Coaching invites all of its players to register for our Player Development Program. The Player Development Program focuses solely on the player development of girls in the U7 through U18 age groups. Our season long player development program is designed for self-motivated, determined and committed players to achieve an advanced level of technical skills. These sessions will match like-skilled players for intensive and personal training with our coaches to achieve rapid development of skill.
The program focus is, above all, on individual player development with access to professional, qualified staff through our association with Coerver Coaching BC. The Coerver Coaching method has been endorsed and recommended by FIFA and UEFA along with several professional clubs, coaches, players and national federations. All programs, sessions and planning are geared towards individual player development. Club teams are burdened by the fact that they often have to prepare their practices with emphasis on team development and game situations, which reduced the time available for individual player development. The Player Development Program is, in addition to team practice and gives players the guarantee that they have the repetitions they need for their own development.
Our Player Development Program consists of a structured 19 week program with:
-
objectives for every session, designed to deliver progressions appropriate to the age group and talent
-
an environment with a high level of intensity for the age group that is both challenging and fun
-
supports the player's performance aspirations, with recognition of different skill levels
-
specially designed t-shirts to boost camaraderie among players and identify them as players dedicated to improving their skills
Our Player Development Program consists of two main components, (1) the Academy and (2) the High Performance Center.
Coerver / SurDel Academy (U7-U18)
Our Academy is designed to support the developing player who is looking to learn more about the game and advance their skill and knowledge. The program is built upon refining and advancing technical and tactical skills in a positive environment to help players develop and further their soccer goals. Also working with Coerver, players will receive specialized training with other players of similar skill. Players excelling in this program may be able to move to the High Performance Centre if there is room.
This program is recommended for U7 to U10 players as well as players in U10 to U18 Silver, Bronze (and House).
