Congratulations to the Surdel Storm U12 Select team who won the inaugural Royal City Youth Soccer Club's 8V8 Summer Smash on Aug. 30 and 31, 2008. The Storm went undefeated in round robin play defeating the Port Moody Sting, Coquitlam Metro Ford and the North Shore Nitro. In the final game the Storm kept their undefeated streak alive by defeating the SFC Select 97s. On top of the strong team effort there was a "player of the game" awarded in each game - these went to: Sydney, Stephanie, Jenaya and Jade. This Tournament featured some very good U12 Select teams that made for exciting games as the talent level was impressive to watch. We are very proud of the entire Storm team who battled hard in all four games to complete the victory.
Remember "players win games...teams win championships" so everyone's efforts made this happen.
