With EURO2008 concluded over the weekend, soccer around North America and in Europe takes a little breather. We’re going to do the same with an abbreviated BSC Newsletter this month.
Of course, MLS continues, as does the USL and the W-League, but for most of us it is time to kick back, if only for a little while, before the preparations for the fall season move into full throttle.
Online Learning Module for First-Time Coaches
We will be contacting all of our Byte Size Coaching “Clubs” in the next week or so to give them access to our first online learning program. It will give them a chance to review the online clinic in preparation for the new season. This will signal the start of the major upgrade of the Byte Size Coaching program that we have been talking about for some time (it seems like forever!). As the existing program Byte Size Coaching program is very functional, we are not prepared to risk putting out a new platform before we have thoroughly tested it. We are doing that as we speak. As well, we intend to stay true to our main customers – the countless thousands of Moms & Dads who coach our children. Without them there would not be a community soccer program. So with the new will be plenty of the old – together with the additional assets.
World of Soccer Occasionally
In July, we publish our third World of Soccer/Byte Size Coaching newsletter called World of Soccer Occasionally because that is what it will be – an “occasional” publication if we want to bring you up-to-speed between our two regular monthly newsletters. You might see it one month and then not again for quite a while. It will depend on (You’ve got it!) – the Occasion.Another thing we plan to do is to bring our newsletter Email lists into better order – both for you and for us. We all get bombarded by Emails so we should be able to be selective. So in each of the three newsletters in July we will invite you to “Unsubscribe” if you only want to receive one or two (or none!) of the newsletters. We will explain more clearly in World of Soccer Occasionally Edition #1 due to be published in the first days of July. Enjoy the summer.
