The Sting were defeated by Coquitlam November 2 when the Silence scored a winning goal late in the second half to win the game 3-2. In the second game of back to back games held the following week in Coquitlam the Sting returned the favour going up 2 goals and held on to win 2-1. In their third game in nine days the Sting hosted Victoria in a physical match showing improved ball movement and utilizing effective passing. The sting managed to build several chances on net and were finally rewarded when Abbi Ayers delivered a perfect cross into the area that Nicole Gibbons headed past a surprised goalkeeper. Despite increased pressure from Victoria the Sting defence maintained their composure and shut down the attack. Final score 1-0. The win moves the Sting in to 3rd place in the league standings with one game in hand.
