The U16 Metro Surdel Sting hosted Vancouver United at Mackie park on a cold and blustery Sunday. The game was dominated by Surdel from the start of the game, however many of the offensive opportunities early in the first half went unrewarded as the Sting could not finish. Halfway into the first half Kelsey Robinson broke the scoreless tie scoring from the right side followed by Jennifer Castillo and Jenny Dunn who put it in the net unassisted. In the second half the Sting continued their offense when Jennifer Castillo scored her second goal off of a crossing pass . Richelle Day finished up the scoring with a strike from the top of the box , capitalizing on a corner kick ball punched out by the Vancouver Keeper. Final score 5-0.
