On Monday February 11, SurDel was proud to host its first annual Family Day Tournament. The event was a huge success with 400 U-9 & U-10 girls and boys teams from all over the Lower Mainland in attendance. The event was hosted by our U-14 Delta Select Metro team and one of the hits of the event was the skills competition in which the Metro girls did some mentoring with the young players. It was great to see some outstanding soccer being played by the teams with a lot of smiles by players, parents and coaches. A big thank you to all the teams who participated and throughout the day the tournament committee was hearing lots of positive compliments about the event and looking forward to next years tournament. We hope to have the photos posted by early next week.
